Animator Portfolio
I was born in Iran in 1983, where I began my journey in the world of animation. With around six years of experience in 2D animation, I specialize in vectorizing original characters in Anime Studio, followed by rigging and animating them. I am also proficient in compositing animations using After Effects.
Since moving to the USA, I have aimed to connect my traditional art with technology. This passion has led me to explore sketching and painting in virtual reality, particularly through Quill VR, which I see as a thrilling new adventure in my creative journey.
My goal is to create vibrant and compelling characters that resonate with audiences in both 2D software and the immersive world of virtual reality. I am excited about the endless possibilities that technology offers for storytelling and character development, and I can’t wait to bring my imaginative creations to life in both realms.
"Destino" is a unique 2D animation created by Salvador Dalí and Disney, originally conceived in 1942 and completed in 2012. In my project, I recreated a segment of this iconic animation using Quill software in virtual reality, marking my first use of this innovative tool.
I explored painting and illustrating in an immersive environment while animating objects. My design is inspired by Dalí's sketches but adapted to fit the capabilities of the software, allowing me to present a fresh interpretation of the surrealistic storytelling of "Destino."
I specialized in vectorizing characters using Moho, followed by rigging and animating them for both movies and advertisements. My process begins with creating vector-based characters, moving on to rigging, and then bringing them to life through animation.
I have sketched various human characters as part of my experience, while also exploring imaginative animal designs. I give these animals human-like personalities, such as a hippo as a mafia boss or a frog as a dancer, creating fun and expressive character concepts.
I have experience in creating motion graphics for advertisements, including compositing and designing collage-style animations. Additionally, I have worked on motion designs for projects such as the history of advertising and scientific animations, blending visual storytelling with informative content.
Group 3D Animation Project
This project involved a collaborative effort to create a 3D animated scene. My contributions focused on both 2D and 3D elements. I was responsible for creating 2D animations that captured the dynamic expressions of fire, ensuring lifelike movement and visual appeal. Additionally, I worked on simple 3D modeling in Maya, where I designed and modeled environmental assets, including a variety of trees, rocks, and mountains. These assets helped bring the landscape to life and provided a rich backdrop for the overall animation. This project allowed me to further develop my skills in both animation and modeling while working effectively as part of a team.
